    Hi guys,

    what do you think?
The pics aren‘t the best, but what grade do you anticipate each?

:nailbiting::lurking:. Awaiting more answers. I would like @micbraun to say why no grade? I'm no gold expert. Just curious.:)

Whoa . . . back up the truck @Rheingold . That's not a real 1898 Double Eagle! PM me for details.

I'm not so sure about the $10 Indian either, but I cannot so easily condemn that coin from your photos.

I fully agree, the $20 is definitely counterfeit, that‘s why I said „no grade“ ;-) I am not so sure about the Indian Eagle, but the stars on the obv just look wrong to me.

Thanks for sharing the pics of the rim. I am really wondering how the dealer could have possibly missed this…?

You guys are terrifying me. I splurged on an Indian over the holidays and now I'm afraid to look at it.

The 1898 facial features are off, and the stars are soft.

I don't know as much about Liberty DE's as I do Saint DEs but it's pretty clear on the obverse.

Better to find out now, and learn for the future.

I take it that it's a raw coin, not graded ?

Yeah, though sourced from a supposedly reputable dealer. I have his pic from which I chose a
pick of the litter, so to speak. If I can find it.

Check the coin out, if it's not authentic, the dealer may refund you or give you a store credit.

Umm.. That's why I generally buy graded coins- Gold or Silver.:)

What proof would I have that it's the same one he sent me? I have to agree with SS. Won't make this mistake again—even if this one is authentic.

Took me some time to find the pic. Is it even useful? I used it to buy one ;)
