    Hello everyone,
I like the Bowers Series Guide Books.
    20220113_205648.jpg

I started this collection with 3 books and kind of always wanted to try and get all of them. I now have 9 of them with a great help from Amazon Gift cards I received for Christmas 2021 from some tenants at the commercial building I work at.

The first 3 books I originally owned were
    #9, #20 & #22

The most recent ones I gifted my self are
    #6, #7, #8, #15, #18 & #21

Do any of you collect these?
If so how many and which ones?

They look brand new. Now all you have to do is read them, lol.

I don't have any of them, but have been thinking about one or two.

How many are there in the series?

I have and read the Lincoln, Ben Half, Mercury Dime/Walking Liberty Half, and Peace dollar series. Overall good. I felt I gained most out of the Lincoln cent and Peace Dollar ones. I was sort of disappointed with the other two.

I've got the Liberty Seated, Morgan Dollar, Peace Dollar, Shield/ Liberty Head Nickel, and the Gold Dollar books. I use the Liberty Seated one the most and find it useful, though the valuations are way out of date. He's a very engaging writer.

    Q. (Quentin) David Bowers is known as the "Dean of American Numismatics" because of his vast knowledge and experience of numismatics (and paper money, also) and his warm and friendly writing style that takes a practical approach to all facets of the industry; my very first coin book purchase in 2010 was "A Guide Book of MORGAN SILVER DOLLARS", written by him. I also have many more written by him, and 157 titles in total.

I've got 20 of them, some newer editions, ie. 3rd, 5th. Haven't bought
one in years. Except a quick look when I bought or was gifted one. At
65, I'm selling my library not adding to it.

I've had several books by him, but after a few moves they were lost some place.

That's the rub when collecting books. They are made to read, but that hurts their collection value. My Penny Whimsy, The Cent Book, Breen's Encyclopedia of Early Large Cents and now my Noyes United States Large Cents 6 Volume set are all showing the ravages of usage.

We are fortunate to have Frank as a member here. His expertise in our hobby could fill volumes!
I am very proud to call Frank a friend.... and yes I do have in my numismatic library a copy of the "Red book on Red books!
Over the years Frank has recieved quite a few awards. He has always given members the opportunity to purchase other references books from his inventory.
I highly recommend his book.....as well you all to appreciate that under contributing editor's in the Red Book you'll find Franks name...... thanks Frank for all your contributions to the hobby!

Frank Colletti name should be as well known as the that of others who have been the corner stones of the hobby over the last 6+ decades!
So yes really! But thats what cool about being a member here as well other forums.
I had the privilege of meeting Ron Pope RIP about a year ago on line. We became good friends over the short year before his passing before Christmas.
So yeah at times we don't actually know to whom we chat with.....but what a pleasant surprise to realize
the person we are discussing Buffalo nickels with is in fact The #1 expert on the series.
Frank has pened several books, articles, and is a CPA as well.....that in its self explains why he's a tad bit grumpy until April 15.
So if you don't know @Treashunt you should.....especially if you"re a medal detector.
As Frank is an authory on it also! Finding Spanish treasures, and on one occasion a diamond bracelet full of old world cut stones! 20220114_102852.jpg
