I am glad to see more of this type come to market. Very sad that the area these are from has been and continues to be decimated!
Here, on the right, I feel I have a McAlee 791 with a definitive 792 obverse. I am looking for opinions and confirmations.
I have put this side by side with my 792/2.

Secondly, the right coin is +2grams heavier. It is quite apparent when viewed side-by-side. Lastly, I have found that most of the Elagabalus coins from this region have a center pellet-not the pellet between S*C- when they are lower in weight than 5 grams.

Oh, for you desert patina haters...this coin is nowhere orange as the image. It's more of dark caramel color than orange.

Let's hope that the political conditions in the region improve. When I was last in the Mid East it was impossible to get a Visa for traveling in Syria. Had to be satisfied with Jordan.
