    What is a reasonable time to expect auction items to be shipped? I won a coin in a Spanish auction last month. My invoice was marked paid on December 19. Typically Biddr updates the auction status when “goods are dispatched.“ So far that hasn’t happened. I was expecting a notification sometime after January 6 since I understand many European businesses are closed for the holidays through that date. But now it’s January 12.

    I’m not necessarily expecting to have the coin by now. But I thought it would’ve been shipped. I paid a fairly stiff shipping fee. €28 for DHS. I am in the US.

    Is that expectation unreasonable? I have some auction experience, but not a lot.

    Usually if they have to request export licenses you can add an extra 3-4 weeks wait.
    Still, there's nothing wrong with reaching out to them and asking for an update.

    What @Ryro said.

    My notification from Leu took from 21st Dec - 10th Jan to arrive.

    Give it the weekend and if no news, reach out.

    I use paypal for EVERY overseas purchase. You can leave instructions at
    the time of payment that you would like the Tracking Number when your
    package is sent.
    Only one time in the last 8 years and 100+ packages was I not notified.
    I received all of the packages. I would Email the company asking for a
    Tracking Number. Take in to account they maybe short staffed because
    of COVID 19 issues.

    My rule of thumb is to allow sellers up to 30 days before I contact them. Once there was a dealer in Portugal who took over 30 days to dispatch an item but there had been a death in the family, he explained by email.
