Nice for a 62. Eye appeal is high for the grade.

The coin seems to have a lot of hits on it for going MS.

It's great coin and I am not an expert at grading. Most of my coins fall short of any kind of MS status. Like you, I am after eye appeal. I just wonder how it gets MS with the nicks. Is it the mint luster?

The nicks are more likely to affect the numeric grade than MS status. As I'm sure you know, most represent bag marks rather than circulation wear.

The grading looks appropriate to my eye, however it's worth mentioning that common-date Peace Dollars are plentiful in the higher grades.

trust me i know peace dollars in many dates are common

but taking into account that being a low to mid level coin collector who isn't looking to spend a huge amount of cash on a coin, plus the fact that i did research the coin, value, prices, how many were graded at this level, what did this grade of coin sell for, would it fit into my odd ball collection, and does it meet the if it gets noticed it gets bought idea

see i don't just buy a coin on impulse cause it looks nice it's a complex process and this took a few days before i bought it and another coin which should be here by the end of the month
