I checked out a library book that was bound with fake leather. It was the first Louis L'amour book I had ever read. I was fascinated, but forgot to take the book back to the library. However, one night about 8PM, I got a knock on the front door. I went to the front door and there was a deputy sheriff at the door. He told me that the library had reported the book stolen and that I was the last one that checked it out. Like I said, I forgot that I had the book. I had to go downtown and post a bond of $100 and pay the late charges of $36.40 for not returning the book on time. I cut my library card up and never returned. So, if you think it's funny that a library book is past due, check with your library. If you want to check me out, you can call the library in Dunn, North Carolina. Luckily, I was not charged with a crime, so my record is still clean.

Like everything, its worth whatever someone's willing to pay for it. I only bought it because of the misprint. I would imagine some error coin collectors would love it and pay even more than I did. Certainly a unique piece.
It is quite unique. Some error coins command a nice premium, and I was joking about one for the book. But then again, ya never know .
I only read the books that I buy. I get most of them at thrift stores and yard sales. I like Louis L'amour westerns and all kinds of science fiction, aside from my coin magazines and books. I never want some deputy at my door. I had only been married about 3 years and my wife thought I was a real criminal.
