No, not a book about error coins, an error book about coins. There are 8 pages with the misprints.

I saw this listed on the bay with 5 minutes before the listing ended and I sent an offer to the seller. I was surprised he accepted! Very cool book.

And for anyone wondering what coin prices in 1955 were...

    1916 D Merc - $10 in G condition, $125 in UNC
    1909 S VDB - $12.50 in G condition, $25 in UNC
CC Morgan - $5 in VF condition

Let me know if you want to know any other prices :D

:bookworm: That book is property of the River Vale Public Library.. I'm sorry but when you receive it you need to return it to them! :wacky:

Haha, I already got it :)

They must have given it away or sold it though, since its really outdated. Or someone has a very large fine to pay for losing it. :D

I hope you got it at the right price cause those late fees are going to kill you. LOL.

With all the late charge fees, it will become quite the pricey book, indeed.

Now that everyone knows you have that library book, they will be finding you and confiscate all your books to check if you have any more library books.

Since when did this become about me owning an old library book?! Haha :hilarious:

The description from the seller on the subject: "ex-library copy with usual labels and markings"

    Stop the witchhunt! :D

I checked out a library book that was bound with fake leather. It was the first Louis L'amour book I had ever read. I was fascinated, but forgot to take the book back to the library. However, one night about 8PM, I got a knock on the front door. I went to the front door and there was a deputy sheriff at the door. He told me that the library had reported the book stolen and that I was the last one that checked it out. Like I said, I forgot that I had the book. I had to go downtown and post a bond of $100 and pay the late charges of $36.40 for not returning the book on time. I cut my library card up and never returned.
So, if you think it's funny that a library book is past due, check with your library. If you want to check me out, you can call the library in Dunn, North Carolina. Luckily, I was not charged with a crime, so my record is still clean.

They actually came after you for a late book? Wow, we need those people to track down real criminals!

I have 2,654 books I haven't returned yet, why, because I haven't read them, duh!

Is there a premium for the "error" book?!

Like everything, its worth whatever someone's willing to pay for it. I only bought it because of the misprint. I would imagine some error coin collectors would love it and pay even more than I did. Certainly a unique piece.

It is quite unique. Some error coins command a nice premium, and I was joking about one for the book. But then again, ya never know ;).

I only read the books that I buy. I get most of them at thrift stores and yard sales. I like Louis L'amour westerns and all kinds of science fiction, aside from my coin magazines and books. I never want some deputy at my door. I had only been married about 3 years and my wife thought I was a real criminal.
