Have you tried baking soda in hot water with aluminum foil? Doesn't work on copper, or nickel. 1st sand lightly the aluminum on the side that the coin will be on. Place the coin in the solution and just touching the aluminum foil and watch. The stuff on the coin should start resolving and if some are still there, do it again. Good luck. Do not rub the coin after you take it out Only pat it dry. Place on a clean dry surface, and check.
