heavy ftr fallen horsman

    This coin has a diameter of 18.5 mm, a thickness of 3.95 mm and a weight of 8.00 grams. That's why I'm keeping this one. However, the coin mint location is not visible, as is the ruler. What is the denomination of this coin. Anyone have an idea?

    Very interesting. The coin is about twice as thick as normal. I guess two planchet stuck together when the coin was minted.

    Toss a coin and call it Constantius II.

    Looks like there might be a K in the exergue, which would make it from Cyzikus.

    @Tejas, Thanks for your reply, i do not see a dubble rim, but always possible.
    @ancient coin hunter, you are right. While I don't keep coins without a full mintmark, this one is an exception.
    @hotweelsearl, I will. onsta is readable on top, i think your spot on.
    @gsimonel, thanks for the observation, i still have to look at the exergue in detail.
