I'm a bit north of you, in Maryland. I would love to find a die break shield cent. The only shield cent I like is a broken one

 

Coinstar reject tray find. Best I have found in one in quite some time.

 

And with this variety, apparently the more broken the better!

Lasy boxes of 2021:

 

The 1986 sure does appear to have been in someone's pocket for 30+ years.

For the last day of 2021 yesterday during our snow storm I decided to do about 15 rolls of 2021 D's since I'm here in Denver!

Yes...I genuinely enjoy these kind of rolls, they're tedious and challenging...I'm weird like that

Below is the winner out of all 15 rolls! 2 slightly different angles of the obverse.
And here are PCGS graded MS67 for comparison

 

Only the box of nickels came(figures)but first silver for the year,going back tomorrow.

 

Switching to pennies to break up the monotony resulted in finding 8 wheat pennies. All high mintage. Attached are the two oldest finds along with the prettiest one.

 

Slim pickings this week:
2 boxes of halves: 3x40%, half a magacian's coin
2 boxes quarters: solid 2021P
1 box centd: solid 2021P

Got a Barr note back from my coin dump on Thursday though.

 

Those dreaded “solid” boxes! I certainly feel your pain. Last year I was the unfortunate recipient of three solid 2021 penny boxes and one solid 2021 nickel box. I know you had a lot more!!

I save those boxes until the following year in hopes of learning of errors and varieties that are “discovered” as the year progress. Out of curiosity, what do you do with your solid finds?

 

I dump them as fast as possible. Not enough interesting varieties in shield cents for me to waste my time searching them. There was an interesting die break on the 2021s. I think most have been found down in VA though. So not near enough to me to warrant searching every.single.ugly.cent

 

I was getting excited by some of your post and picked up my first box in a year. Just like my previous 10 boxes of halves no silver. Did have two rolls of 2021 D that were mint but they are getting dumped.

 

hello, all my monthly 2k hunt for half dollars. I got skunked on the first 2 boxes. but the 2ed 2 I got a Ben 1958 and I got a 1967 Kennady and a 1982 P no FG..!!! yes markers on the front/back of the coin match up with coin on PCGS's web page on 1982 NO FG
