Words could not describe even if they are 'smelled' incorectly. God definitly directes not only our destiny but inner peace and happiness. Unfortunatly some don't realize the words often can often be as deadly as a bullet or missile, equaly as destructive as we leaned in the early 60s, once launched from the silos of anger can not be recalled or excused. One pull by one trigger started one war and the drop of another ended another 50 years. I am so happy that others appreciate to beauty of our Nations' creations. Please try not to take ourselve so seriosly with this beautiful common compasion and Thank the Dear Lord for such a beautiful and rewarding compassion the the few of our population ever take time to quander if true beauty and a place in our hearts.Thank Our Lord that our coins much like or present will never die (sic)
Have your started on the coins yet? Cirelaw: So welcome back home again. Glad to see that you are still posting. Have you made any coin purchases yet with that 1800.00 a month? Or are you still thinking about it. It is OK to take your time. Try looking at more coins if you need inspiration. I like to look at Youtube (coin collections, and bullion collections). There is some really nice bullion out there, and a lot of it is from folks in other countries. Keep us posted. P.S. Green18, David MacKenzie, and others, thanks for adding to this thread. I am glad that I have such special company.
Yes, I'm taking your advice and purchasing a monthy gold bullion at the lowest price until my annuity runs out in a little more the ten years. Thank You and sorry I annoyed a few for seeking help!
I would like to diversify. Gloom and Doom scenario: Bullets, Seeds, Plows. Ouch Scenario: Gold and Silver, small denominations. Life goes On scenario: COPPER LARGE CENTS!
Open appology too "CIRELAW" I now find this thread interesting , investments are important.... keep on posting :high5: ozarktravler
Thank You Mr. Ozark Travler. Our common hobby, passionion brought us both upon these footstep. Thanks to the advice rendered, I have accepted our common investment in a more serious way. Some of You lived through more recessions and worse yet depession. A private collector of the forum told me to, if possible purchase one ounce of gold per month if possible. Os my gramps suggested as long as I had gold I would never go hungry. About 2 years before my stroke and coma in Jaco Beach, Cosst Rico, I purchased my first and only 2005 ms70 gold eagle. Well through a stroke coma, and divorse, the ony tangible asset I still own is is lonely real piece of my past asset. Go Figure!
Really? Just like that? One person says "silver, buy it" and you're going to go out and buy it? Check out the graph at http://www.kitco.com/LFgif/ag3650nys.gif Can you say for sure that silver will take a good rise rather that settle at a lower price in the future? Can you say "volatile"?
Just curious; Do you mean Costa Rica? I assume so. I just came back from Costa Rica with my family and we had much better luck than you did. Sorry to hear about your bad experiences in such a beautiful country. As far as investing in gold, I'd consider more of a savings account than an investment. At least it can't be wiped out by the fall of the stock market. I have a wealthy relative who lost about 60 percent of his retirement last year, like the rest of did, that he had invested in the stock market. He pulled all of his money out at the low point and invested in gold when it was about $950.00 an ounce. I think it is at about $1,111.00 an ounce today. That is about a 15-16 percent return on investment if my math is right which would be pretty good for any one year except that the stock market has risen between 50-60 percent from it's low point in approximately the same time period. What happens when all those invested in gold start pulling their money out and head back to the stock market as the economy recovers? Gold will be back into the 900 dollar range and maybe even the 800 dollar range. That's when to invest in gold.
Thank You. I had rented a two story oceanfront home right on the pacific ocean for $500 which included maid service. Being all drunked and other vices I fell striking my head causing a subdural hematoma.Debbie my present and third wife drove to the hospital in Punta Rainus from my rental in Jaco Beach careing for me daily and when there played my Sony Walkman and songs from a familiar time. I eventually responded to the music, moved my feet a working on a how to cope with comas entitled 'Coma Wake-Up Calls A Stroke Of Luck' and am relying on all off You to prevent me from screwing it up again. As a result I do collect my disability that will run out at 65. I want to stash away some portion so I need some help for ten years when Its over.
Rely on us? If so, please heed these words, which I wrote a while back in this thread: You should rely on us for advice regarding coin collecting -- but *not* for investments. You should rely on professional investment folks for investing. In other words -- if you're asking about subject "X", rely on experts of subject "X". This forum has some experts on coin collecting. But you need to look elsewhere for experts on investing.
I'm young so I'm going to invest in time travel. That way I can go back to 1922 and get a bag full of mint state D-less pennies at face value. Then I'm gonna head back to 1909 and visit san fransisco. Then I'm gonna hang around the mint in 1864. Maybe along the way I'll pick up some bullion at 1800's prices and have the worlds Nicest coin collection FTW!
And there are some folks that think I am nuts!. LOL. I do, however, like the direction of your thinking.
CIRELAW: So how is the coin/bullion investing going? I received 10,000 more Wheat Ear cents today. I have a very tiny old fractional coming soon, and some modern silver from Europe on its way too. Just a few from WWII, but they should be interesting. I had a pretty good exposure to coin collecting as a youngster. As an adult did a little of both coin collecting and bullion. Now that I older, I hit the bullion side as heavy I could afford (after the stock market crashed last Spring). Now, I am just enjoying a few old coins again, and picking up neat new interests. Coins and bullion can be really cool items to touch and think about.
I put more creadence in your opinions as there is no hidden agenda.I picked up more valued advice in the last 3 months than anywhere else. Thank You all.
