Frankly I don’t know what to make of this poor penny so I’m asking for opinions as to if it’s more than just damage and wear? And the mint mark, is it possibly doubled?

    Thanks. 648B5603-386C-4C63-8EFE-83E1209FB50C.jpeg 0430C880-62D6-4D99-9082-5C3854EC06C2.jpeg 05868790-11F8-449C-A7FB-C437E1B8ADF3.jpeg 1C8C0ADD-8DE4-4025-8A4E-A1BB0DF7928F.jpeg AE3E786C-431D-4477-8FAF-B7D1902DDAA8.jpeg 0FCF39DC-B605-4197-B571-FD0DE9DBC468.jpeg E674BC81-7DF4-4439-A851-6829F50257EF.jpeg 9B47064E-86E4-4CD9-85B5-6FDAFE51F0CA.jpeg 320AF1E4-1604-454A-B6AE-B88E9B4C5464.jpeg 3EEC29FC-4FF7-4661-8260-0A6E11060861.jpeg

That mint mark cannot be doubled (as in Doubled Die).. They were hand punched into the die back then. They can only be Repunched aka RPM. I can't really tell anything. Could also be a small die chip

Heavily worn and thickly patina'd. Nothing worth more than 1c

    Just a damaged coin.

    I don't see any errors

Usually, when a coin is heavily damaged like yours, it's nearly impossible to verify anything except the most obvious of errors. The damage on these coins can make all kinds of things look like errors. In general, it's not worth the time or effort to looking on stuff like this.

Looks like a plated coin and the plating is coming off. Have you tried a good long soak in acetone?
