Looks like someone was messing around with silver testing acid and put a few drops on it.

I'll show you how. Give me a minute and I'll do it to a non-collectible penny.

Carbon spots. Mostly caused by air pollution from back in the day.

Some liquid/chemical reacted with the copper.
Have you ever seen what a few tiny drops of bleach does to colored material?

I personally don't use it. I detest the odor! :depressed:

FWIW - Not 100% sure that is a proof coin. Looks like a standard business strike San Fran cent.

    Yes furryfrog is correct.
Not a proof. 68-74 s pennies were circulated. Nickels 68,69,70.
There are proofs from those years as well, but the proofs are easily identified.

It’s a business strike, not a proof. Some thing has had a negative affect on the copper. It’s a spender.

  12. I'm going to retake pictures it 100 percent proof coin

Honestly, it just plain doesn’t look like a proof coin.

It’s not a proof. The rims look nothing like a proof. Neither does anything else on the coin.

A proof will have mirrored surfaces and a slight cameo to the devices.
I am not seeing it. The pictures are too blurry and insufficient.
