A friend knowing that I am both a collector and a baseball fan gifted me this medal. Wondering if anybody out there may know who made these. IMG_20211219_082350590.jpg IMG_20211219_082404134.jpg

Believe I see a FM...Franklin Mint mark...at bottom of reverse, below word "President."

You are correct. That is indeed one of the Franklin Mint logos. Thank you.

On second glance I might point out that, technically, this is an "error" medal...it states, incorrectly, that "TR wins second term as President"...but he never won nor served a full first term, having succeeded McKinley after his assassination in 1901. The 1904 election was TR's first full elected term as president.

You know our Presidents. It will be fun to show it to collector friends and ask them if they can spot the error.

But, he served two terms, and he did win the second one, which is what the coin states.

Sorry if a bit belated...this old flip phone doesn't get the Internet nor email alerts. Must disagree...if only according to history:woot:. TR did not win nor serve a full first term. His one/only election win was to his first full term after he served out the remainder of McKinley's...so it is technically (as I originally indicated) if not officially incorrect that he won "a second term as president." Hence, indeed technically an "error" coin.

This was from a bi-centennial set that the Franklin Mint issued in the early 1970s. You were obligated to buy two medals per month for 100 months. They have never had a numismatic value, but some of them are attractive.

I would think if the coin had come out stating he won his 1st term in 1904 that that would be considered a bigger error than what you are claiming it is now.
