I pulled this amazing unc. Sac dollar out of a previously unbroken mint roll while looking for one for my album.I couldn't believe how it looked, nothing like the others in the store.I was all ready to submit it to see if I might get a 70 or at least a 69 grade, but upon arriving home with it and looking under my loupe, here's what I found. I had to really manipulate the lighting to make the scratch visible...oh well maybe next time.Anyone else have similar experiences?
Even with the partial image - I can see 10 marks on the reverse. But I do understand your point. It's quite easy when one first examines a coin to miss what you see later on. I've always chalked this up to wishful thinking.
