    Hi guys,

I have this 1997 P Washington Quarter and would like to know what is happening with the right side of the rim on the reverse? Why is the rim split? And is this a fold over rim fin or a small cud ? 1DSCN8779a.jpg 3DSCN8783a Top.jpg 4DSCN8798a Top.jpg 5DSCN8793b Top.jpg 5DSCN8794a (Top).jpg DSCN8798b.jpg DSCN8798c.jpg

A few decent rim cuds yes.

Thank you for your answer. This is what is was in question about. Whether it was in fact, a rim cud.

I'm not a good one to say, but to me it looks like a slightly finned rim that bent over. Let's see what @Fred Weinberg and/or @paddyman98 say...

Small but visible rim cuds, a bit misaligned also. Nice find, thanks for sharing.

I like the coins Rosalita brings to us.
She mentioned folded over rim fin. That's the first thing I think of.
