Pretty cool. The one on the left is a Japanese bu. Some gold in it and would be worth more than 50 dollars easily. Check out ebay for sold prices.
the left one is actually a Ni Bu or 2 Bu. I believe it is c#21d in the Krause catalog, ruler Mutsuhito. 3.0 grams, 22.3 % gold, 77.7% silver
Thats always a fun game. They’re the dealer so it’s not your job to educate them on what they have. Always makes me wonder how they came up with a price when they bought them.
The interesting thing is that he didnt know what they are but was confident that they are both fake. I bought a Morgan and 2 XF encased wheaties for $40 and he tossed in these 'fakes' at no charge. I dont know yet if they are fake or real but the price was right. (no scale but neither is magnetic)
From your bad photos, I would say Macuquina looks no good...Maybe with better photographs my opinion changes...
