    Same thing , also called Mechanical doubling or Machine doubling. All worthless doubling.

    Yes, that's just another way of saying it. I prefer the older term, "strike doubling," because it describes the moment the doubling happens, i.e., at the moment of the strike, while "machine" and "mechanical" leave that a little, well, fuzzy. But they're referencing the same thing, the doubling didn't come from the die.
