Found these while hunting.anyone know what they are?

Looks like they made buttons out of these old coins.

Neat find! How did you discover them? I’m imagining some Revolutionary War Hessian losing them on the run.

Found them when I was sorting threw a box of stuff at the local junk store last week.

 

I regularly go to thrift stores, Good Will, Idaho Youth Ranch, LDS Thrift, among others. I sometime come up with something interesting and worthy of purchase. Enjoyed the post, thank you.

and by the way, those are found often in Germany as it was very common to use coins as buttons.
