    Not much better in my opinion if that matters. Try this?? You don't even need books. A can or jar will work also.;)

    A lot of glare caused by the lighting. Are you diffusing the lighting at all?

    Nice, but lighting a little harsh. Try lighting the coin from three different locations to eliminate shadows and glares.
    Your photos above are better than most of mine. LOL
