What do you grade this Franklin? And Happy New Year! PS Please give your numeric grade if you think they detailed the coin.
AT. Which is really unfortunate as 1963-D's with decent bell lines are hard to come by. It's not FBL, but it's close.
Md on the u on United, America , A in Dollar looks like 2 different lines. The T in Liberty look different . Look's like the numeral 1.
The color looks somewhat like a chemical spill, just from how it lays on the coin in certain spots. I'm not seeing FBL. On a real good day, MS64. Pretty coin.
I passed on this coin the first time I saw it. Had to confirm the RPM. Normally I would pass on a two sided toner. This one caught my eye and is a confirmed RPM-005 D/D southwest. Die stage A http://varietyvista.com/11 Franklin Halves/RPM Detail Pages/1963DRPM005.htm
If you look at the rpm one of the pick ups is doubling to EPU. I would imagine that the U might have some doubling also.
What is the grade on the slab. I can't see the slab, so have no idea. Can't you read it? LOL Just feeling like a snot today. I'm guessing (and that's all it is) MS63 weak strike.
Sorry folks, didn't make it home last night. It's Bachelor week for me. It got a 91. Which is Genuine QC- UNC details. I have thought about using this coin as an first time dipping experiment. I bought it for the RPM, and not the color as it is kind a funky as @Lehigh96 and others pointed out. Thanks for your opinions on grade. Too @Skyman yes the bell lines are just shy of being full. But I have seen worse get the attribution.
