Hey guys!! I got several rolls of 1965-69 Halves today! They look Great Nearly AU .. From the Bank!! I need to know how to tell Special Mint Set Coins from Standard Circulation.. Any Clues on the coin that would make one stand out over the other? I pulled out my SMS and can see no difference.. Am I missing something??Thanks.
No difference. -O) The Special Mint Set Coins were just regular standard coins placed in a package for sale.
On the half dollars. The 1964's are 90% silver, the others from 1965-1970 are 40% silver. Later, they started making 90% silver again on Proof sets about 1992.
from the Bank today, Someone must have cashed them in. Sad or them good for me.. They Look Great.. Also a NICE toned 1971s.. NO FINGERPRINTS!!!
clarification/year. I intended to write 1969 or shortly after. I am now caught up on this thread again, and can see that Mr. Lucky Pants picked up these little jewels at the bank today. I have already congratulated him.
This is the 2nd time from the same branch.. In a Year.. I hit this bank every month or so.. Last year hit the BIG TIME Bonus with 12 Rolls All '65-'69 And nearly 2 Rolls of '64's .. It was great.. Maybe the same person cashed in some more... I am just glad I got there Before ..."That Guy"... The Guy who is one step ahead of me.. I know you all have him in your town too... The Tellers call him... Mr. "Oh I Justgaveemaway" ... I hate him!!
