1821 Capped Bust Dime, JR-2?

    Just cherried this from a dealer. I was hoping for a confirmation before I tout it off for sale to specialists.

    I have been hoping to cherry this variety for a few years to make a quick buck. Alas, I gave up the hunt, but kept the diagnostics in my head. Then, all of a sudden, I walk into a new coin shop and there she was. The diagnostics seemed to match, so I bought her without much question.

    I think so! Unless I am sorely mistaken, you have an JR-2. Currently rated R-5.

    Well done! (I found one in my junk box last year).

    This is why I should check out Coin Talk more often than once every four years. This coin could have filled a hole in my set.

    I agree. Looks like the JR-2 from PUPs. Also left side obverse excess wear in the area of S1 to S4 seems to indicate the die bulge caused by the crack in late die states of Obverse 1.
