Cleaned, but I liked the detail it still had.

I don’t own nor have I ever owned a Details coin. Hard to believe isn’t it?

I'll bet you do! Check your pocket change for scratched / damaged / corroded coins, lol ;) Happy New Year Collecting Nut! What do you like and why when it comes to coins?

I don't see any graffiti on the obverse of your 1853-D half eagle. Some dings and a scratch from Star 3 to Liberty's chin but nothing that looks like a deliberate attempt to create a post-mint design. Maybe that amorphous "thingie" between Stars 11 and 12? Can you point out the alleged offense?

I like them all. :) Some coins can be saved and others can be spent. Lol

I’m partial to Peace Dollars, Bust Halves, Liberty Standing and Franklin Halves, Mercury Dimes and a number of others.

I bought this one because it's a rare Trade Dollar variety, the 1876 CC type 1/1, "normal reverse." Anacs cleaned AU details. I'm buried.

A fellow cointalk member pointed me to this one. It was the only one in my set that I did not have, so I opted to purchase it. Still like it to this day.
