Happy New Year..I don't get here as often as I would like . Would you please offer your opinions on these two. Would the russian be worth grading or does it make a difference thank you
Not worth submitting unless you want to be sure that it is genuine. the second: is damaged, again, see above
the dukat from Austria is a ex-jewellery piece and is still minted at Austrian Mint with date 1915 https://www.apmex.com/product/14772/1915-austria-gold-1-ducat-bu-prooflike with the damage I would say spot - 5%
nice coin with low mintage - but not much more than spot https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?p=lot&sid=3702&lot=6222
FWIW the Chervonetz or 10 ruble has a reported mintage of 50K coins. That is indeed a small mintage. However, in the 1920s when the Soviet Union was reopening to foreign trade they could not get Europeans to accept payment in the new Soviet 10 ruble coins that were first minted in 1923-1925 so they resorted to restriking the 1911 dated coins which Goznak still had the original hubs from to make the dies. How many they struck is not reported but the actual number of 1911 dated coins is much higher than the reported mintage is.
Not worth submitting unless a higher grade or you want proof of the pieces. The one piece has some damaged, probably from being a jewelry piece.
