A few days ago I did a thread on my “Constantine I and Sons” coin. I made a mistake in that posting. I stated that this coin was from Doug Smith. It’s a beautiful coin and certainly worthy to be in his collection but it wasn’t his. In every way this coin is the quality Doug collects from what I’ve seen from his postings. My apologies to you @dougsmit for my mistake. I also posted that the information I used for my posting of that coin was purchased through John Anthony. That is correct but I purchased 6 coins in all from that auction in late February 2016. My apologies to you as well @johnanthony for mixing up what you wrote. After being contacted by both members I researched this. As I said above, I bought 6 coins, a Philip II Kings of Macedonia and the “Time of Constantine I and Sons”. Then a bought a very attractive set of 4 coins from the collection of Doug Smith. The paperwork says from the House of Constantine the Great. I wasn’t going to post them but here they are. Constantine I helmeted and 2 victories standing next to altar, shield with VOT PR around altar. Siscia Mint. VRBS ROMA, head of Roma left with she-wolf suckling Remus and Romulus, Cyzicus Mint. Constantius II and a fallen horseman from the Sirmium Mint. And Divus Constantinua with a Chariot, Hand of God from the Cyzicus Mint. Sure hope I got all of that correct this time. John, Doug and all of CT, please except my apologies for the mistake I made. I feel that the providence of each and every coin is very important and I hope that this is a clear explanation of the true facts regarding the original coin I posted and the error I made. I did a separate post to better clarify this.
