Why?.. The Cent sitting in a car cup holder full of spilled soda, oil from dirty hands, sweat even dried urine can change the color of copper. Wash your hands good after looking at coins!

I would have never figured that out. The coin in person is so nice and clean, with a clear eye ability to see the full band along with all the fetchers of the coin. Will I guess I will just keep it for me. Thanks for the help.
This dime is a Min error or man made ? I don't think its man made, it's to perfect,even around the year. If this coin is an error, would you get it graded? y
Seriously? The answer is man made damage! Yes it is altered after it left the Mint. It was a man or a woman who did it. It doesn't matter! I don't think so! It's not a mint error of any kind.
