What do you think happened to this gold coin? If any of you REALLY NEED to see an image of the entire coin to make a guess , JUST THIS ONCE I will post one.

Surface looks raised. I'm curious as to what kind of PMD.

 

Shaved for gold chips (scrap).

Someone accidentally dripped a drop of acid used to determine gold purity on the coin. Ate away unevenly at the poor lady's face.
