Not in my opinion but they are known for weak strikes anyways. Heard it through the numismatic grapevine.
Not a scratch on her. These don't come out much better than that. Whatever weakness if any won't detract from the grade, as it wasn't her fault.
are there better MS67 1925 peace dollars? whatever it might lack in a weaker strike, it cans by being well centered and nice rims on both sides, relatively mark free, and good luster. Yeah I think that is a MS67. Are there nicer ones? Probably, but it's not a 66 or 66+, I can locate the usual minor scuff anywhere on the coin that all 66 and below have. Always buy the coin, not the holder, if you don't like it, keep looking, right?
I haven't collected Peace Dollars in over a decade so I like to refresh my memory of grading these by looking at some old photos. I had an MS66 in the 1925 slot that was close to MS67. The reverse of the MS67 is absolutely sublime and without the chance to inspect the coin in hand, I am going to defer to the NGC graders and say the MS67 grade is appropriate.
I appreciate the feedback it’s nice to be able to ask for grading help. I’ve decided to collect a few high grade coins then do tons of lower grade ones. Just fyi I thought it made grade but second opinions can be valuable. I’ve developed a habit of occasionally running coins past this board prior to purchase and I wanted to thank those who took yhe time to help me out so thank you for all the responses
