    I have just tried to see how far I can get with just the lens (a 60mm Macro).

    This is as close in as I can get alongside the image size I normally post online. (Click to enlarge)

    Doug that is a fantastic image of a test cut, there's some stunning detail to that photo!

    @TIF I'm honoured that you like those pictures enough to use one as your wallpaper! Let me know if you'd like the full size image (~50MB). I'm not sure if you may have downloaded the smaller ~3MB photo from the coin gallery or used the "Save Image" option from the ultra-zoom page but either option are probably lacking detail compared to the original.
