Is this what’s considered a “Die Chip” or is it something else?

Die Chips on 9 and B
FYI.. It's not added metal. The die broke (chipped) in those areas and the metal from the blank planchet flowed into the void when it was struck.

Here is an attributed example from my collection

I had to look but I only found two, one on the bottom of the B in Liberty and the second one in the curl of the 9 in the date. Both are die chips, considered common but nice to find.

    Welcome to CT.
