The second of 8 known, the top coins are circa 1987, will be sorting soon, I will update with any earth-shattering finds.

They aren’t all pennies…in the first jar I found a IHC and some early wheats.

Had a neighbor ask me to help her roll change from 3 pint jars in
the early 80's. Found a few dimes and nickels, the rest all cents.
Bought the rolls and kept most of them.

I once got to look through and 'value' decades worth of coin accumulations my dad's friend.

It wasn't just simple change, it was piles of silver quarters, dimes and halves. A bunch of early clad halves, several silver dollars and a bunch of decent randomness.

It was fun and my dad's friend was very thankful I was willing. I told him it was a great pleasure for a collector to get to do this and something we all 'dream' about.

I'm waiting for the call from my aunt to have me value my uncle's collection/accumulation. We'll see.

Wait. Aren't IHC and wheaties also pennies? Or to be correct "Cents." LOL
    Have fun.

So far they have been mostly cents, the oldest 1961 and the newest at 1991. I have found 1 worn out dime from 1984. I sorted about half last night, almost 50 brand new 1990 cents. Found a few 1982 small date Denvers…but all weighed out zinc. 300 cents so far… The first jar was huge with about 1500 coins of all denoms except dollars. I will keep everyone updated…Spark (Cited from: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/new-jar-of-old-coins.391093/)
