I am working on both a silver eagle and silver libertad album and they both have run out of pages. What do you guys typically do? Have they come out with new pages for these two series? Another question is that I am trying to put together a $25 platinum eagle proof date set. Should I put the set in a dansco or a capital if they make one? I don't even now which dansco sheet to but for the platinum eagles 1/4 ouncers.
You can get blank pages for the ASEs As far as the platinum i'd keep them in airtights if they arent going to be in slabs. Albums just really arent good enough for proof coins of that value
baseball21 makes a valid point on the platinum. CAPS makes some https://www.capsalbums.com/bullion-capsule-kits
The DANSCO Silver Eagle album ran out at the end of 2021. I would get a new album for the new series.
Are Capital Holders considered air tight enough for the proofs. I could see the dansco wanting to tone them but would they turn cloudy in the capital. I'd like a nice was to display them.
Look into caps albums, I'm not sure if they have it for those but theyre albums designed to hold airtights capsules. The other thing you could do which is a little less convention is get a three ring binder then buy the plastic sheets meant to hold cards. Put them in a capsule and slide them into the card slots. The problem with the capital holders is you have to unscrew them and take the entire thing off every year to add another, it would also end up being huge or youd have to buy a lot of them which would get expensive very quickly
They were not out the last time I checked. Dansco is WWWAAAYYY behind in production due to Covid. The last I saw they were producing product again but on a much smaller staff so it'll be quite a while until they catch up. I believe I saw that they were going to produce a new page for the ASE album. If the current album won't hold another page they may increase the size of the album and add the new page. Which means you'd have to buy the new album, more than likely.
