1873 Seated Liberty Dollar~Proof or possible Cameo?

Hello my friends and Happy Holiday's.
I recentlly acquired this little beauty a few days back. This mysterious little lady is both breathtaking and a little heartbreaking.

Breathtaking in her beauty and a bit heartbreaking, as someone has etched what seems to be a name (written in cursive) and some numbers upon her.






This piece definitely looks like a proof to me, but since their were only 600 minted in total I am a little bit skeptical that I found one, and in this good of condition Since I am new to collecting Early American coins I wanted to share this coin with you and the collective wisdom of CT. So please let me know what you think. If anyone can provide any additional information about this particular coin, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.




Whether or not, it is a proof or even a possible Cameo I still adore this coin even with her imperfections. After all who doesn't have a few flaws?

Graffiti or not, it's still a nice coin.
Hey, you can "whizz" that graffiti off and then age it. LOL

It just doesn’t look like a proof to me. I would take that coin to be a well struck business strike. Not a lot made and it was the last year for this issue. Also the first year for Trade Dollars. The chances are that it just didn’t circulate. Shame about the graffiti but if you can read it that may be a good thing.

 

Some of the stars appear to be more sharply struck than others. I wouldn't expect to see this on a proof. Unless just damage from mishandling.

 

Not a proof but still a valuable coin and a keeper.

Hello and Happy Holiday's ksparrow. Good question.
Mainly what lead me to believe, that it could be a proof was the degree of relief on the coins design elements. They seem excessive to me, as they protrude from the coin more than I would have expected. Since this is my first and only Seated Liberty Dollar, in my collection I had nothing to compare it to. In hand the coin still has quite a bit of luster especially in the fields and it contrast so well with the crisp features of the design and higher than expected relief. So I thought I should run it by the CT squad

 

I don't think it's a proof; those have strong doubling on IN GOD WE and yours doesn't.
