Hi all. I'm considering driving over to the Whitman Expo in Nashville in May. I've never been before, so I'm not quite sure what to expect. I'm a very casual collector, not really interesting in buying very high-grade, high-price coins. I don't want to drive several hours each way if it's not going to be worth my while. Has anybody been to a Whitman expo before? What are they like? Is it more for dealers and collectors interested in very rare items, or would it be worth the trek for a casual, small cent collector like me? I'm really interested in other peoples' experiences. Thanks!
I'd love to hear a report afterward. I certainly don't mind making the drive if I'll get something out of it.
man this is the same question i'm asking...i think there's one in atlanta as well, but i'm pretty low-budget and like to stick to fun cheap finds...but i do love to browse nice coins.
I'm headed for Baltimore next month (driving). I'm at about the 75% level for going to Nashville (flying). Then maybe I can catch a show or something like that. Not my type of music but it can't hurt to look. Then Baltimore again in June. Philadelphia in Sept. And to end the year, Baltimore again in Nov.
