really? They are all floating around VA. or at least these parts. I don't like it when they show up because that is one more cent in the bag that will be heading back to the bank.

Not much floating around here on the Island either Ed. So far I've come across two 2009 Linc's and that's about it....then again, I'm not so prolific in my travels of late. :smile

2009 cents are everywhere around these parts. I can usually find the newer dimes and nickels at the toll booths but his year I haven't seen one. I guess ebay may be the only solution for dimes and nickels this year.

  6. Plenty of 2009's in Southern New England. No 2010's yet. TC

I've only found one 2009 cent in circulation here in SC. 'Course I've not done in roll searching in more than a year, so my chances are slim until I do again I believe.

The 2009 dimes and nickels I have came from people selling them here or ebay.

Probably a little early for 2010's yet. As far as 2009's, here in Ohio I found a bunch of the first three Lincolns, none of the presidencys. Zero nickels and dimes and out of the quarters only a couple DC's.

I have only found a handful of quarters but the cents are plentiful.

Besides the nickels and dimes they are very plentiful here in the washington dc area.
    I get a 2009 coin everytime I go to wal-mart.

I've found four DC quarters while traveling the country, one each of Puerto Rico, Guam and Samoa, and for some reason a whole bunch of Virgin Islands, no Marianas.

At home, I've seen one log cabin cent and one lincoln standing cent. Plus a James K. Polk dollar. A collector friend gave me a Tyler, so it doesn't count. No nickels, dimes, or anything else. I didn't expect any 2010s this early.

I just yesterday rolled up my first roll of 2009's. Many LP1,2,3's and about 9 LP4's. All AU or better. But only 'P' mints. C'mon 'D' mints. Will trade some for D's.

Still holding a four 2009 coins here in Indiana. A DC quarter in Feb of 2009, an LP1 in August, and LP2 in Sept, and a Puerto Rico quarter in late November. Nothing since then.

Last week my father found the second 2004 Peace medal nickel that we have seen. We really don't see new coins around here.

Update, just came from the grocery where I got a Guam quarter so I'm up to 5 2009 coins now.

I've completed the "D" series cents from circulation but have yet to see an 09 nickel or dime.

  20. Here in TN, I've only seen one of the 2009 Lincolns in circulation. Can't remember which one it was, but it wasn't even mine, and I definitely haven't seen any 2010s. :\

Last night I was playing a poker game with my friends and we were using quarters as chips. A friend showed up late to the game and wanted to play but didn't have any quarters. He came back from the store with a brand new roll of 2009 American Samoa's Philadelphia mint. I ended up with around 10 of them by the time the night was over.
