the other day at work i might of made a valuable mistake. as i was running my coin machine i happened to look at a 1943 copper penny in very fine shape. im not to much up to date on years and values. i basically just look for silver. so when i had the coin in my hand i just told myself it was just another war penny and threw it back in. later i was told that if it was original it woud be worth thousands. so i looked it up in a coin book and the year was not even in there. so was there copper pennies made that year? what really makes me sick is also in that coin bin was about 30 near perfect walking liberties of different years and a couple barber halves such as a 1900 o and a 1915 s, now that really has me wandering if someone did have the 1943 copper penny.

I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it. There were a few copper 1943s produced, but there are also tons of copper plated steel cents out there. Chances are probably about 99.999999% that the one you saw was copper plated. They're so common that I've found 3 already in circulation.

It was not an error coin it was a nothing coin.

It was not an error coin it was a nothing coin. It was without a doubt a fake copper coated 1943 steel cent and he didn't even get to re-find it did he?
So it's nothing, nothing found, nothing kept, nothing there to begin with, come on guys???
    You'all know better than that.
