    "N"ope.. "N"othing

Probably damage. Or just a tiny lamination.
    Nothing really major.

Looks like worn damaged as in the N took a hit and circulation has worn it down.

  5. So a hit caused the first line to curve in to match the spur without touching it. Zoom in look

That's how it was struck, sport. You're both wrong.

Was your original post a request for the CT folks to evaluate your coin? You should put up a coin and ask specific questions.

I didn’t say it was, I said it looks. The thing is we weren’t there. It’s a guessing game, or speculation as to what happened. I’m giving you my best guess based on your photos. Anything could have caused it. It may be a defective planchet or a mint error. It could be a small die chip. We don’t know and we don’t have the coin in hand. We only have photos. Whatever happened, happened a long time ago and the coin has seen circulation afterwards.

Recent circulation or not, it's still PMD from circulation wear and hits, but good eye in catching that anomaly.
