Well here it is. Turns out it’s the reverse of 78. Just a nice appealing coin. Does this mean it’s the over date since pcgs does not list a 78 reverse without an over date? I did get a better deal than what you see. Thanks for everybody’s help. 4032D131-7640-43C9-89BF-A0CF59FEEF7F.jpeg 4F9EEC5F-AF54-4F55-BB4D-8B7642DF8075.jpeg

Good thing you have it figured out. I have a heck of a time with VAM.

Bottom line is that it’s a nice looking coin and it’s a VAM. I couldn’t be happier.

My favorite coins, the ones that looked like they had to work for a living. Very nice eye appeal and no hard hits. Nice.

Where was this coin purchased? Something in the lettering on the obverse looks wrong. The lettering looks to be too bold. The stars look thicker than they should. On the reverse those letters look further from the denticles than they should be. I would question the authenticity of this coin if it is not in a slab.

They’re all VAMs… this Morgan looks a bit off… definitely cleaned, maybe worse.

An interesting observation...maybe some pics out of the flip would look different?

Harshly cleaned and I would check if it's even silver.

We seem to have some differences of opinion on this coin.

Yes...I think the color is original and "correct"....just the flip and the photo making the skin look a bit off...maybe @messydesk or some of the Morgan guys can confirm authenticity.

Tell me about it. I'm no Morgan expert or any expert but I'd like to know if this is correct or not also.:nailbiting:

To me what looks odd is the M in
UNUM. The bottom 3 parts of the letter don't appear level.

There's a slight hit to the leftmost serif. I still don't see anything to make me doubt the coin's authenticity.
