There is another option - all collectors and dealers tell the mint and the feds that we don't want their coins. That's what I intend to do.
I feel like they will just come in solid boxes like every other quarter release has recently. Whatever the mint churns out and distributes to the rolling companies. My daughter, who is 5, is looking forward to collecting these coins. I don't think it will be difficult to find them in circulation.
I think the article is over estimating how many collectors will actually care. Let me know when its 2026 and they do the special one year quarters then I'll care
So the banks will get the designs at random instead of being able to order a specific one. I don't get the author's point - why would anyone care?
someone wanting to get rolls to collect or to look for errors?? i know i would want to get some, i have searched over 1,000.00 dollars in quarters this year and have yet to get a whole roll of 2021....
not at my bank they are not, lately just customer wrapped rolls.. and even when i was getting the armoured car company wrapped rolls, all circ junk
They'll be able to order those from the mint if they want to. Realistically its not a banks job to be ordering anything more specific than the denomination.
My bank got a solid box so I bought 5 rolls of WCD Quarters, Then the grocery store got solid rolls and I bought 2, then more showed from the work bank and I bought 3 more. They are out there.
So the gist is that nothing has really changed since 2010 and the primary interest of both the Mint and the Fed remains the provision of coins for circulation. Good.
