I purchased several CC Morgan dollars which egged me on to see what-the-deal was on this remote, middle-of-nowhere, off-beat, skin-of-their-teeth inconsistent and sometimes non-operating national Mint. BOOKS are a deep passion (my first ever PT job in high school was working at the public library) and the Carson City subject was an irresistible meshing. Arriving this week was the present-to-myself, the full 3 volume set of The Comfortable Carson City Coin Collector. At 636 pages total this matches, even exceeds, some of my collected, deepest researched academic local/regional history tomes. It is simply miraculous...$314.90 from Southgate Coins to my residence in Maryland. HIGHLY recommended for numismatic nerds like myself. CC collector.JPG

Doug Winter also has written books about the Carson City mint. Highly recommended.
