Sleazy seller on the bay, trying to desperately make some money! I hope the seller goes down, trying to sell a 1933 Double Eagle is an insult to many collectors who are in the hobby and know about the gold confiscation act of years gone by. I hope nobody is stupid enough to buy it but you never know! Ebay has gone completely down the toilet for allowing crap like this!! :sorry:

I guess I'll have to wait a year or two to sell the 3 rolls I bought while
on vacation in Beijing a couple of years ago. I've got them hid out back
in a Clausen pickle jar near the rose bushes.:p:p

For all the complaints I have against ebay someone selling a 10 figure coin for 2500 is not one of them. The slightest bit of research and I mean the slightest would show its not that.

The listing has been removed. "No longer available". I contacted the seller,
"A 1933 Staint?! Why are you trying to fake/counterfeit coins?"

When the 33 was up for sale was it auction or buy it now. Was there a price and if so, what did the fool (whoops!) know? I hope he bought it for a few thousand and now he's having to eat it.

Wait, I looked it up and fleabay shows it's no longer available. I have one of these, produced by the "American Mint". 24k plated copper. If the seller claims they didn't know, I call BS. It's stamped "COPY" on the back, which they didn't post a photo of. The seller no longer has anything up for sale, but doesn't seem to be kicked off eBay.

    Shame shame shame.

Since I'm a Forum member here, I hope the Forum will be a little more
accepting when I sell my 1933 Saints. I will be using Etsy and AliBaba for my
avenues of sale. @Mr.Q Let me know when you are on your way, I'll make
a fresh pitcher of ice tea.:p:p

Looks like one of those gold plated copies that sell for about $10 to unsuspecting consumers.
