I was doing what I call a quick inspection of some Buffalo Nickels through my stereoscope. I came accross the the first 1937 - putting it aside as a candidate for futher inspection - fully expecting to discount it as mechanical damage. A couple of nickels later I find the 2nd 1937 Buffalo. Looking at the "3" as the PUP - view is better under the scope than these pictures from my QX3 indicate. What do you think? Die error or strike damage? Are these coins from the same die?
