I've seen the plate LUVTYANK, locally. It's on a Yankee blank. Obviously, it's "love the yanks", however poorly contrived, but, i wonder how many others see it as i always do. Replace "the" with "to", same letters, completely different meaning. Interpretation/imagination are wonderful things!
Funny that you posted this @masterswimmer. I'm working on a contest/game for CT. I got the idea one day when I saw a license plate with WLH (Walking Liberty Half). It's going to be a combo of Tic Tac Toe and Bingo using license plates. I'm still working out the details and will be posting it within a few weeks. I anticipate the contest will run several months or until we have a winner. Steve
I know that you can scan a million plates not really looking for anything and if one shows with your initials on it, it jumps out at you.
I think it's a regular plate and has nothing to do with coin roll hunting. That style of NY plate has 3 letters followed by 4 numbers. They started with AAA and run until EZZ (I think). Generally, these are issued sequentially within counties. When the county needed more plates, the would get another sequential batch The blue on gold style runs from FAA to JZZ, and they have a new white background that starts with KAA. All regular issue plates have 3 letters followed by 4 numbers
You guys have been here on CT long enough. Been in the hobby for more than 15 minutes. And you ask what CWR means? Come on guys, Customer Wrapped Rolls doesn't sound familiar? Thank you Frank! Wow, just a little humorous thread went seriously sideways. I was having a little fun with a license plate I saw. No need to read so deeply into it. Seasons greetings everyone. Spread the love
@masterswimmer, worked for two hours this morning developing and revising the contest. I'll keep at it, but I think I have to run it past my wife and a couple of others to make sure it is understandable and that the rules are clear. Steve
