Some Roman Bronzes from my Collection

    With some time on my hands, decided to take pictures of some of my bronzes. Here are a few: Galba, Caligula, Hadrian and Antoninus Pius.

    The Galba with Reverse victory is one of my favourites, it is ex Vermeule and Messenger collections sold in 1951. The other Galba with reverse wreath is nice too, but has been smoothed quite extensively I think. Still the patina is nice.

    Here the Caligula Sestertius. Also the Hadrian As with reverse depicting a galley, struck to commemorate the emperor's extensive travels throughout the empire - FELICITATI AUG.

    Sestertii of Galba are probably the peak of Roman Imperial coin manufacturer. Your Victory is an especially nice portrait. Thanks for sharing them.
