Before Geocities and MSN groups went down in the past few years, I had my entire Indian cent error collection online. I constantly updated it and got a lot of hits. I also remember an amazing gallery of Barber dime errors (called Lindsay's Barber Dime page or something), and a collection of Indian cent errors that was more complete than mine. I can't seem to find these gallery's now - anyone know where they are? Or some good sites where people post pictures of their error coins (or non-error coins) in a nice format? thanks!
If they were sites hosted by Geocities, you can try this site. They supposedly archived a bunch of the Geocities websites before they went dark. http://www.archive.org/web/geocities.php
Now here is something scarry. I went to Google and typed in error coins. At the top of the page it stated: Results 1 - 10 of about 12,500,000 for error coins. (0.10 seconds) Since there are a little over 31,000,000 seconds in a year, if you took 1 second to look at each of these, should only take about 9 months or so. Of course that means 24/7 hours per day. And assuming no one adds or removes one. :goofer: I spot checked a few just out of curiosity and I think I'll just wait for someone else to recommend a site.
There are lots of good sites that educate people about how error coins are made, and many that sell error coins. Fred Weinberg, Eagle Eye Rare Coins, Al's coins, etc. ThePennyLady on here is a good example too. But there were some amazing collections that were online with great pictures that seem to have disappeared ...
