Out of a whim I obtained $200 worth of $2 bills in November and I am having such a blast noticing people's reactions to them when I pay for things. I can't stop spending them! I am going to run out of them in another couple of weeks but I'm thinking I need to circulate these boys. Bartender one more round!
Be careful what you circulate..it could be one of the Premium 1976, 1995 or 2003 stars worth much more than face. RickieB
Funny you mention that. I did snatch a 2003 star note from the bunch I got from the bank. It was not in great condition or anything. It is hanging on my office wall. But certainly I have looked through them to look for any good ones.
I'm new at this so I'm curious. Why do you say these bills are "premium"? What's the bid deal about them? In an earlier thread, I posted I a pic of a 1976 star that I just "found" (re-discovered) in my collection.
I use the "two" all the time at my Farmer's Market in San Francisco. Never, though, at my local bar as the barkeep gives them back to me in change. Love em'!
Rickie , are the two $ notes with stars in the Jefferson coin & currency set worth more in the set or graded by 3 rd party? Thanks Paddy
What? I have my Set still in the Org. Wrapper.. Never opened to look at it.. Is the 2.00 in the Set a Star? Or did you get lucky!
LOL I got lucky 5 times!!!! as a Jefferson collector Nickels that is and coins and currency with jefferson on them I got 5 sets all stars Hey I let them all go for the winning power ball numbers or mega millions LOL As for me if I did not have bad lucky I have no luck at all LOL
Paddy: I am under the impression that the $2 Note in that set is a Series 1976 Note Non-Star..The Ones I have seen were the (3) Phillie District Suffix Letter A. Take a look at Numbers site and see what Blocks are out there. I am no means a statistician on notes..just a collector. If you have images, that would help. RickieB
Gee had a tough time up loading the pictures here are the pictures of one star another without ...the set 1993 coin & Currency has the 1994 Jefferson nickel matte finish and an 250 Anniversary comm. coin and the $2 bill out of all sets only 5 % have a two with the * Paddy
