Hello every one!i got some questions.i have all the 50 state quarters d and p mint.and i have 7 quarters uncirculated that are gold colored.i took this pic to show a uncirlculated quarter next to the gold one i found im stumped no info is available?
Probably just normal toning, either that or it's one of those Probably just normal toning, either that or it's one of those gold plated things made for home shopping. They often tone this way though it's very normal.
Could it be a missing clad error? Hard to tell from the photo the actual tone of the color. Maybe the nickel cladding is just missing from the reverse and the copper is exposed? I have an older washington quarter with a missing clad on the obverse, but the copper is much darker than in your photo because I found it in a parking lot where it had obviously been sitting for a very long time.
this is two gold ones on the left and regular on the right.they are all unused and never used.i looked at proof set but doesnt look like that.it looks the same color as those gold 1 doller coins.
