I agree with @potty dollar 1878 . Also, something funky going on with the Reverse. Maybe a chemical reaction or corrosion.

Could be a chemical stain. Or even dried adhesive on the surface.

    That's not a Lamination error.
    This is a Lamination

Welcome. What you have is a stained coin. Not a lamination.

Here are a coupe examples of actual laminations:

Sorry, but it's just staining. Not an error of any kind.

Here is another. With all the above posted ones you have some good reference material .

Not a lame by any means. More like a saying or strange toning.

The stain is apparent on both sides with what looks like corrosion beginning on the reverse, in my opinion. Welcome to CT, keep posting, and good luck.

@Fred Holloway I realize you haven't posted anything since you joined in 2014, but if you follow this forum, you must realize that good quality photos are a must. The members here only have that to judge and respond to, so poor photos lead to poor opinions.
I too, think your cent looks like it is stained, not a lamination, but good close ups under great lighting may show something different.

looks like a coin that has been sitting in the door pocket of a car and rain and other debris acted on the copper. (I found a few like that when I cleaned the door pocket out of change and ink pens)
