In August of this year, we moved into a new house. It was semi-custom, so we had a lot of say about the design. I was able to secure a space in the basement (I know, terrible place to keep coins) for my new office. It is the best setup I have ever had but I already wish it was bigger. It still needs some tweaking but I'm getting there.

How much does that tall sentry safe cost? I need a bigger one like that

Primo Setup! Congratulations!!! Any concerns about humidity? If so, I'd think a dehumidifier would resolve same.

Those are reasonable. The one next to it is the pricey one.

I’m in the HVAC business so I have a primo humidity control system. I’m more concerned with the potential of plumbing problems.

Very nice indeed. I am relegated to one end of the kitchen table, unless something more important comes along.

That used to be me but it was made clear that I needed to keep coin stuff out of the common area.

I absolutely love those circular bookshelves. What an attractive design.

Sounds like you need a french drain and / or a several leak alarms.

I am living with a backup sump pump and wet detectors.

Short of moving upstairs, it seems like there’s not much else you can do.

That's not going to happen as long as I have house guests. That situation isn't likely to change in the near future, but I'm not going to complain about that.

Very nice office. What brand is the desk lamp with the magnifier?

I don’t remember at the moment. I got it at Staples about 5 years ago. I don’t recommend this one. The lense is pretty low quality.

I can see plumbing concerns in the basement, but you're better-protected there against tornadoes, and probably fire. I'd be comfortable with that trade.

Superficially it looks like it's nicely removed from the living area. Quiet. Secluded. An oasis. Now all you need is a bathroom and kitchen right there and you could live there!

    Very nice. Enjoy!

I could tell. Looks to open in the center. That's a monster. How many people did it take to get it in place? I would guess it is 800 pounds if it has a nice fire rating.

The plumbing is the hard part. You just never know when something will go wrong.
I do HVAC but never a basement. Did you set it up as part of the homes main system or a separate system?
