Well I was able to add this coin to my toner collection.
It is graded by NGC Proof 68 in the old fatty holder.
As you can see the coin has awesome rainbow toning!! :D

Thought I would put a new twist to it!!
The price that is paid for toners always surprises others.

The toning is nice but not the type that will attract huge premiums. Given the relative affordability of the 1962 PF68, I will guess that the coin sold for 2-3X wholesale. I guessed the $36-$45 range.

The problem with that logic is most people do not start a pole if they paid the going rate.

I don't understand the appeal of toners so you could get one like that from me for $1.40 if I had one. I do think it's safe to conclude that most of the toners were in books with exposure to chemicals from the paper, glue and plastics used to make the books. But then again, I'm confessing ignorance.

Well I was doing my nightly search of eBay and came across this auction. Link
As you can tell from the sellers picture, I really didn't know what I was getting myself into.
Well I decided what the heck and I hit the buy-in-now button and boy was I happy I did!!

Well here is the 5 coins that I got!!
